Tattoos are quite common among professional athletes. In the NFL, players without ink are probably in the minority compared to their tatted-up teammates. But despite their popularity, tattoos don't always gain favor in the locker room. Possible case in point: Shane Ray.

The Denver Broncos linebacker recently got a huge tattoo on his back, but instead of depicting the Mile High City or commemorating the Broncos' Super Bowl victory last month, it celebrates one of his team's rival, the Kansas City Chiefs. Ray posted a photo on his Instagram, showing his tattoo of the Chiefs logo.

It seems crazy, there is a good reason behind it.

As Ray says in his photo caption, he is from Kansas City, Missouri, and he obviously has pride in his hometown. In addition to the Chiefs logo, he also sports inked logos of the Kansas City Royals and Sporting Kansas City. Check out the post below, and if you have a problem with his tattoo, he has a message for you, too.
