Dark Souls 2 Coming to PC in April

Dark Souls 2 finally has a PC release date! Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the title will be released this week, but PC gamers will have to wait until April 25.

According to the developer, Dark Souls 2 will feature "increased texture resolution" and an "enhanced frame-rate option" when compared to its console counterparts. There will also be mouse and keyboard support, sorely missing from the first Dark Souls. The game will require about 14 GB of space and a minimum 2 GB of RAM to run properly.

"We're conscious of the high expectations from PC gamers and are working with FromSoftware in ensuring that the PC version of Dark Souls 2 offers the best experience possible," said marketing exec Mathieu Piau.

If you pre-order the title now via Stream, you'll get early access to the Black Armor Weapons set and additional goodies—the game's soundtrack, art book and comic book.

Titanfall Season Pass Confirmed

During a recent interview with GameSpot, Respawn's Vince Zampella confirmed that Titanfall will have a season pass. "There are things that we want in the game that we didn't get to ship in the final game. So we'll add private matches and things like that for free," Zampella said. "There will [also] be some paid DLC. We're going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, it's a deal. We're not going to do microtransactions."

The pass will cost $24.99 for Xbox 360, XBO and PC. Only three map packs have been announced thus far, but according to Respawn, "all the other content is still to be determined and will be announced as we get closer to their release." It is worth noting that season passes are platform-specific, so if you purchase the season pass for PC, you will only receive downloadable content for PC.

New Trailer Released for SOMA; Release "A Year or So Away"

We may not be any closer to getting our hands on SOMA. But a new teaser trailer from Frictional Games gives us something to look forward to. Check it out below!

In an update on the Playstation Blog, SOMA creative director Thomas Grip revealed that the game is about a week away from the alpha phase and most of its content is playable. "It's important that SOMA is constantly drenching the player in storytelling. We need to make sure that there is always a red thread of narrative running through the game. We don't want you to say, 'Oh, here comes a puzzle section,' but to constantly feel as if you are being told an interactive story," said Grip.

"Getting this right is tricky as there still needs to be some challenge in progressing, but not so much that solving a difficult puzzle becomes your sole focus. Now that we're close to alpha, it's possible for us to test this and tweak where needed."
