Coming out of LSU, Foster Moreau didn't have eye-popping statistics.
Over his four years in Baton Rouge, he totaled a combined 52 catches for 629 yards and six touchdowns—solid numbers, but nothing spectacular. But what Moreau did have was size, intangibles and athleticism. The 6-foot-4, 253-pound tight end was a team captain at LSU, and his teammates selected him to wear the prestigious number 18 jersey. While LSU's offense spread the ball around, Moreau flashed an impressive blend of finesse and power on tape. But to improve his draft stock, he'd have to post Combine numbers that proved he could cause match-up issues at the next level.
To help make that happen, Foster turned to TEST Football Academy. To reap the full benefit of the multiple intense training sessions he was tackling each day, he began supplementing with CarnoSyn®, a ritual he continues to this day. CarnoSyn® delivers a high-quality form of beta-alanine, a naturally occurring beta amino acid that's essential for the synthesis of muscle carnosine. The more efficiently you synthesize muscle carnosine, the longer your body can delay the onset of muscle fatigue and muscle failure.
Within weeks, Moreau packed on 7 pounds of muscle while also seeing significant improvement in his agility and explosiveness. "CarnoSyn works as hard for me as I can for myself, which I'm incredibly happy with," Moreau says. "I've seen drastic improvements."
Moreau put on a dominant showing at the 2019 NFL Combine. His 4.11 20-Yard Shuttle was far and away the fastest result among attending tight ends, and he also blazed a 4.66 40-Yard Dash. In terms of explosiveness, his 36.5-inch Vertical Jump tied for third-best among tight ends, while his 10-foot-1 Broad Jump ranked fourth. The eye-popping showing led the Oakland Raiders to select him with the 137th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
When the Raiders nabbed him, head coach Jon Gruden couldn't hide his excitement. "We are really jacked up to get you," Gruden told Moreau while informing him he was going to be a Raider. "You've got the right stuff, man."
