The Jumpman will be front and center at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
The brand, which is produced by Nike, officially unveiled the jerseys for this season's All-Star game at their "Future of Flight" event in Los Angeles:
According to several Jordan executives and designers who spoke with STACK at the event, the clean black-and-white look was chosen for a couple key reasons. One, the simplistic design makes them highly versatile from a fashion standpoint. Jordan took cues from modern streetwear in the design, and black and white goes with just about any apparel. Two, the All-Star Game is known for bringing out some bold footwear choices from participating players, and those sneakers should really pop in contrast with these uniforms. It looks like Team LeBron will be rocking the whites while Team Curry will be wearing black:

But don't let the basic colors fool you—there are several design elements throughout the uniform that continue the brand's strong history of storytelling. For example, the numbers and collar logo were inspired by the design and typography of Los Angeles street signs, and knit tape embossed stars down each side pay tribute to past All-Star games.
"Jordan Brand has always been fearless when it comes to pushing the boundaries of innovation and style," said Jordan Brand VP of Design, David Creech. "The Jordan Brand NBA All-Star Edition uniform embodies that attitude with a distinctive look. Our goal was to combine the street-premium Jordan sportswear feel with Los Angeles style for a jersey that looks just as good on the court as off it. We're excited to see this year's NBA All-Stars represent their teams in Jordan style on the biggest, brightest stage."
