What's it like to design a basketball kick for your favorite pro baller? Nike's Future Sole Design Contest provides the opportunity to do just that. Put your design skills to the test (check out our previous coverage on the competition).
The annual competition allows aspiring high school and college footwear designers to create an original sneaker design for both Nike and Jordan Brand. Once the participant pool is whittled down, the finalists make their way to Nike World Headquarters, where they present their designs to Nike and Jordan Brand designers and executives.
The grand prize winner in each category and division receives $5,000 in computer equipment, plus other prizes.
This year's Jordan Brand high school grand prize winner, Allen Largin, recently met up with Team Jordan athlete Carmelo Anthony and program founder D'Wayne Edwards. Largin's Melo M7 draws inspiration from Indy cars. The design features converging lines, illustrating how Anthony separates himself from rest of the NBA pack. Check out Largin's winning look below.
