For the second year in a row, Nike Soccer is sending scouts to 50 countries to look for the "world's next wave of hungry young footballers." Approximately 100 standouts will go on to a Global Final in Barcelona, and eventually train and play with some of the world's best teams.
On Nike's Facebook page, after entering your name and creating a team page, you get a platform to begin self-promoting—recruiting fans and supporters, creating videos, uploading photos—to "demand the spotlight" and attract the attention of the scouts. How you showcase your individual skills and ultimately distinguish yourself are up to you. But the more buzz your team page generates, the more likely it is that scouts will come and watch you play.
Renowned film producer Spike Lee serves as the creative ambassador for The Chance Nike Sportswear, and he plans to judge the creativity and "story-telling" talent behind the film and photo submissions.
Watch the clip below to learn about "drive" from Mr. Lee; and if you think you have what it takes, give yourself "The Chance" to be discovered.
