No single play jumps out on the tape. Instead, Randall Cobb's total game on Sunday was greater than the sum of its parts.
Bottom line: the Green Bay Packers are headed to the playoffs largely because of Cobb's performance. He posted career highs in receptions (11) and receiving yards (131) to lead the Packers to a 20-3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
On a key third-quarter drive, Cobb had three catches in the span of five plays for 42 yards. He later gashed the Bucs on a 30-yard catch and run in the fourth quarter that set up a Pack touchdown that secured the win and clinched a playoff berth.
Cobb used his speed and elusiveness to dominate one-on-one matchups and rack up big yards after the catch.
His ability to cut on a dime is refined by the BOSU Single-Leg RDL, an advanced exercise that trains him to stabilize and fire the muscles in his lower body. His improved lower-body strength and stability also enable Cobb to burst off the line more quickly and change direction more fluidly.
Cobb was the leader of the Pack in Week 16, and for that, he is the STACK NFL Beast of the Week.
