At nearly 230 pounds, Leonard Fournette is the heaviest athlete on this list.
Defenders must feel like they're standing in front of a runaway freight train when Fournette comes their way, as no pro ballcarrier clocked a faster foot speed in 2017 than his 22.05 mph.
Perhaps it's no surprise the Jacksonville Jaguars running back once told reporters the game speed in the NFL was "a lot slower" than he expected.
Like many of the athletes on this list, Fournette honed his speed on the track team. He had a 100-meter best of 10.68 during high school.
At LSU, Fournette's speed helped him total 3,830 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns over a three-year span.
He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
In his rookie season, Fournette totaled 1,040 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. During an October game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he recorded the aforementioned foot speed of 22.05 mph during a 90-yard touchdown run.
"I ran faster than that in college," Fournette told ESPN of the supersonic scamper. "It's all about getting my legs back under me…I ran like, 23 mph in college, so (I'm just trying to get my old speed back."
Again, this man weighs 228 pounds.
Fournette built his unreal combination of speed and strength with the help of some hellacious high school workouts.
