You don't truly realize what an absurd display of power this is until you see the replay and realize Cordero sent this shot halfway up the centerfield scoreboard.
It's the longest home run by any Padres player in the Statcast era, as well as the longest home run at Chase Field ever recorded by Statcast.
"I've never done anything like that," Cordero told reporters after the game.
Cordero is responsible for a number of the hardest-hit balls in the MLB so far this season, so the power he displayed here is no fluke.
Cordero is just 23 years old, so perhaps there are more monstrous blasts in his future.
He also currently ranks 23rd on the Statcast Sprint Speed Leadboard, so he has the chance to be a very special player.
