One of the perks of being part of the STACK team is the opportunity to travel all over the country to see first hand how the best athletes in the world train. However, as impressive as the athletes themselves are in person, where they train can be just as amazing. These facilities are some of the coolest and most high tech in the U.S.
From private gyms to college facilities to professional training centers, STACK has seen it all. Training at the right place is nearly as important as training properly for your sport. And although you may think a gym with rooms full of machines and cardio equipment is the perfect training spot, as an athlete, you might not be able to get much real work done.
STACK's experts generally agree that athletes need ground-based training in their workout routine, and that they should not rely solely on machines to help increase performance. There are some exceptions, such as Keiser equipment, which uses compressed air to provide total resistance. But athletes need a place where they can perform functional movements to improve their game.
So before you shell out big bucks for a gym membership, visit STACK TV's Training Spaces Channel to view some of the top training facilities in the U.S. Check out where the pros train, and see if your local establishment fits the needs of elite athletes.
