Although the Denver Broncos dropped their last three regular season games, they won the AFC West and will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild card round of the AFC Playoffs. That's largely due to the clutch play of Tim Tebow. The much maligned QB struggled during the last few weeks, but he galvanized the team and earned the Broncs their first playoff berth since 2005.
And now, at the height of Tebowmania, he's going to be a superhero. Seriously.
Marvel artists Bong Dazo, Scott Koblish and Todd Nauck, working with ESPN and the team at Marvel Custom Solutions, have created cartoon images of the superstar quarterback that will run on the network over the weekend. Tebow Time has certainly taken on a life of its own, and whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny his phenomenal success and celebrity status.
"Like the Marvel heroes who pull off last-minute victories, Tim Tebow has fans around the world on the edge of their seats and believing that—in our own lives—when time is running out and all looks lost, we can dig deep inside and use our various strengths to triumph over insurmountable odds," says Bill Rosemann of Marvel Custom Solutions.
Catch the superhero in action when the Broncos take on the Steelers at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, live on CBS.
