Sam Worthington stars as Moses, one of the two rogue soldiers. In the role of Mad is relative newcomer Muna Otaru (Lions for Lambs). The cast also includes Kyle Soller (Poldark), Amy Nuttall (Downton Abbey), and Ned Dennehy (The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death).

The film was directed by Daniel Barber, known for the 2009 crime drama Harry Brown.

This female-centric flick offers a fresh take on the genre. It's a clear departure from typical male dominated westerns, which rarely feature strong female characters.

Hailee Steinfeld has a number of projects in the works, including Pitch Perfect, due out in 2017.

The Keeping Room is set to debut in theaters on September 25, 2015.
