Despite Luke Kuechly often resembling a cyborg built solely to terrorize NFL offenses, the man does need to eat.

The Carolina Panthers linebacker eats a pedestrian meal of pasta and chicken followed by a "dessert" of fresh fruit prior to games.

"I like to go for some type of pasta for carbs, then chicken for protein. I finish my meal with lots of fresh fruit and drink a good amount of water for pre-hydration," the future Hall of Famer told NFL.com in 2017.

The Carolina Panthers linebacker eats a pedestrian meal of pasta and chicken followed by a "dessert" of fresh fruit prior to games.

An incident during his junior year at St. Xavier High School (Cincinnati, Ohio) helped him realize the importance of hydration.

"During my junior season, we played a nationally televised game against DeMatha of Hyattsville, Md., which was ranked No. 5 in the nation at the time. A bunch of our better players, myself included, caught cramps. When you're cramping, you can't play, and when you can't play, it affects your whole team," Kuechly told STACK in 2013.
